SUNEX Fish S4X – Vertical buffer storage tank for heating systems

Characteristics

The SUNEX Fish S4X is a vertical buffer storage tank designed for use with solid fuel, oil, gas, heat pump, and electric boilers. Numerous connections allow for integration into a wide variety of heating systems and the combination of multiple tanks to create batteries, enabling the total capacity to be tailored to individual needs.

Optionally, an additional heat exchanger can be installed to support the heating system with a solar thermal system. Models with a capacity of 200–500 liters are also suitable for storing chilled water (7–12 °C).

Made from S235JR steel and processed using automated welding, the accumulator meets high industrial standards. The maximum operating pressure is 3 bar, and the test pressure is 4.5 bar. The maximum operating temperature is 95 °C.

For storage volumes of 200–500 liters, a 50 mm thick polyurethane foam insulation with a replaceable PVC film layer is used. Larger versions (800–1000 liters) utilize a graphite-polyester fleece with a 100 mm thick insulation layer; the outer casing is gray.

Areas of application

The buffer storage tank is suitable for single-family homes, multi-family dwellings, commercial buildings, and systems with combined heat and power supply. Its flexible connection design makes it particularly suitable for non-standard installations and modular storage systems.
