Product overview

The MDC 400P reheating module is an innovative add-on module specifically designed for open and closed heating circuits. It offers an effective emergency heating solution in the event of boiler or heat pump failures, ensuring comfortable warmth even in unexpected situations.

In addition, the module can be used as a heating backup at low outside temperatures and enables the use of excess energy from the home's photovoltaic system for central heating. The system thus combines modern technology with high flexibility.

Advantages and features

A key advantage of the MDC 400P is its low acquisition cost, making it a cost-effective retrofit solution. Quick installation and small footprint allow for easy integration into existing heating systems.

The highly insulated housing, consisting of a raw steel interior and a powder-coated plastic exterior, ensures safe and efficient heat transfer. Furthermore, the high-quality insulation of the 50 mm thick polyurethane foam ensures optimal heat retention.

Technical details

The module has connection options of 1 1/4" IG for flow and return as well as 1 1/2" IG for the heating element. It operates at a maximum permissible operating temperature of 90 °C and an operating pressure of up to 10 bar, making it versatile and robust.

With a minimum flow rate of 9.0 kW or 514 l/h and an inner diameter of 60 mm, the afterheating module meets strict technical standards. The MDC400 Plus heating element module with 9.0 kW (400 V) is a suitable match, while its dimensions of 161 mm in diameter and 850 mm in length ensure a compact design.

Possible uses and areas of application

The MDC 400P reheating module offers a wide range of applications – from emergency heating in the event of a power outage to heating support during critical winter months. When used in combination with heat pumps or boilers, it makes an important contribution to the supply reliability of your heating system.

Its flexible use in open and closed heating systems, as well as its connection for heating cartridges up to 9.0 kW, make it an ideal add-on module. This allows for optimal cushioning of seasonal temperature fluctuations or scheduled maintenance work.
